Electrics are where I started — and where I've spent a lifetime.
I learned to read wiring diagrams as a boy in my father's garage, and electronics have been my trade ever since. A background in electronic engineering, a Level 5 Master Tech qualification, and 38 years on the tools mean I understand the modern vehicle's electrical systems in a way few generalists do.
Whether it's a tricky intermittent fault, a wiring issue, or electrical work that supports a security or audio install, I diagnose properly before I touch anything — so you pay to fix the actual problem, not to chase symptoms. It's careful, methodical work on cars that deserve it.
- 01
Fault finding done by an engineer
Modern cars are rolling networks. Finding why a warning light keeps coming back, or why a circuit drains the battery overnight, takes a wiring diagram, a multimeter and someone who's read both for thirty-eight years.
- 02
Classic car rewiring
Full or partial looms, sympathetic to the period of the car. Original colours and routing where possible, modern fusing and protection where it matters. The car comes back looking right and working better than it ever did.
- 03
Motorcycle electrics
Charging issues, ignition systems, alarm fitments, lighting and instrument work. The same diagnostic approach as on cars — just on tighter wiring.
- 04
Accessory and security installs
Cleanly integrated dash cams, hardwired phone chargers, parking sensors, additional lighting, immobilisers and trackers — wired into the right circuits with the right fusing, not just tapped in where it's convenient.
Electronics is the day job, not a sideline.
My background is electronic engineering and vehicle electrics, qualified to Level 5 master technician. Before remapping and security took over the diary, fault finding was — and still is — the work I enjoy most. There's nearly always an answer in the diagram, if you take the time to look.
Every job is done personally at your home or workplace, anywhere within roughly 25 miles of Kenilworth. No fitting bay, no “leave it with us for a week” — just one engineer, the right test gear, and an honest price for the job.
If it turns out to be something I can't or shouldn't tackle, I'll tell you and point you at someone who should. I'd rather lose the job than guess at it.
